Checkmate

This table was a special commission for an old friend. He particularly liked the curved legs of some of my other designs so that was a strong part of the brief. It was also to fit a fairly compact space and sit higher than a coffee table but not as high as a dining table.

The resulting design allowed me to incorporate some stunning quartersawn European oak in the top and add some coloured dowel detailing to the frame.

A piece to enjoy even during the rigours of an intense battle at the table!
