Meet the Maker, Mike Whittall. He is based in a converted steading at home in the Aberdeenshire countryside.
Mike has a life-long passion for working with wood and is a graduate of the Chippendale International School of Furniture. His patience and eye for detail are evident in the design of his furniture which is meticulously thought through and built to last for many years to come.
When he can prise himself out of the workshop, his other passions are music – he plays the trombone, sailing – whatever is available and floats, and skiing – whenever the Scottish winter is kind enough to provide snow without a howling gale!
Mike’s love of the Scottish landscape, heritage and community is reflected in his unique designs, crafting methods and attention to detail.
